At the Henley Foundation, we believe in the power of community, education, and opportunity to change lives. Growing up, both Bobby and I were fortunate to experience the support of our families and communities.
Bobby’s parents were both teachers, and I grew up in a blended family of nine children, where community support—especially around the holidays—was essential. That sense of community and giving has stayed with us throughout our lives and inspired the work we do today.
What began as a foundation honoring the memory of our son, William Eugene Henley, has evolved into a mission-driven organization that serves the children and families of Mobile, AL.
Through scholarships, financial literacy programs, and entrepreneurial training, we aim to empower the next generation to break free from the cycle of poverty and build brighter futures.
Our Heart and Hustle Award celebrates the dedication and perseverance of graduating seniors at Alma Bryant High School, and we have plans to extend this scholarship to other local schools. But our work doesn’t stop there.
We’re also working to create a local facility that will serve as a resource hub for the homeless and youth in our community—providing not only education but the support needed to regain stability and independence.
We believe that, with the right resources and support, everyone has the potential to thrive. But we can’t do it alone. With your support and the help of corporate partners and grants, we can make an even greater impact in our community.
